
MANILA, Philippines — Resigned Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co and 11 others have been summoned for next week’s Blue Ribbon Committee hearing investigating flood control anomalies, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said.
“For the record, I issued 12 Subpoenas Ad Testificandum,” Sotto told reporters in a Viber message Thursday night.
Co is currently out of the country after resigning from the House of Representatives in September last year. The former lawmaker, who is the subject of a warrant of arrest, remains at large, with his last known location reportedly in Portugal, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said.
His passport has since been canceled.
